National Writing Project; Coastal Carolina Univ. summer programs for kids; Saluda Housing Project

There are nine SC Centers that host the National Writing Project and you’ll learn where they are and about their offerings for teachers on this week’s podcast from Dr. Tom Thompson of The Citadel. Coastal Carolina University has a number of programs that attract pre-college students in the summer and a few of these are explained by Dr. Emma Savage-Davis on the show, as is a concept designed to provide teacher housing in some of the state’s small, rural communities. Mark Bounds, a Deputy Superintendent in the South Carolina Department of Education is our guest with this interesting information.
