Montessori Schools, help for the physically challenged and economic education news
Monday - March 01, 2010
The last week in February was designated Montessori Education Week and we have a discussion on this week's podcast with Dr. Ginny Riga, Montessori coordinator in the South Carolina Department of Education’s Office of Public School Choice about the observance and her recent election to the board of directors for the American Montessori Society. And, Dr. Riga will update us on the prevalence of Montessori Schools in the state and other aspects of the progress of this popular school choice option. We'll also hear from Helen Meyers, President of the South Carolina Council on Economic Education, about an upcoming workshop and Carol Page, Director of the South Carolina Assistive Technology Program posts us on this year's Assistive Technology Expo 2010 coming to Spartanburg on March 18th. Plenty of great information to listeners of this week's podcast.
