Field Trips - Great Learning Experiences
Monday - October 17, 2011
On this week's podcast we look at an opportunity to celebrate the Sesquicentennial of the Civil War in Washington, D.C., as a part of the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center's special commemoration of this event. Our guest from the Visitor Center explains timing of visits and preparation for the experience, and gives an overview of some of the special exhibits remembering this special time in our country's history. We'll also visit with folks from Battery Creek High School in the Beaufort County School District where a Tri-Academy model has opened this school year. Guests discuss the military aspects of the Tri-Academy model and a member of the aerospace magnet program reflects on JROTC aviation students' field trip to the Marine Corps Air Station.
