Empowering Girls Symposium, Back To School With ADD and Kudos To A USC Law Professor

Monday - September 09, 2013

Three conversations highlight this edition of Speaking of Schools. For the eighth consecutive year, the Youth Learning Institute at Clemson in cooperation with DSS and others are sponsoring the Empowering Girls Symposium with the focus this year on girl's safety. Caregivers and others who work with girls and girls ages 12 - 20 are encouraged to attend this event coming to the Columbia Conference Center. There's another important workshop profiled on this week's podcast sponsored by Pro-Parents of SC. "Back To School With ADD" features a speaker who is well versed in dealing with ADD and ADHD, a psychologist and mother of children with these disorders. And finally, we'll salute and introduce you to Associate Professor Susan Kuo, one of 26 law professors in the U.S. recognized recently by Harvard University in a study, "What The Best Law Teachers Do." Join us as we chat with three "Susans" on our next podcast!
