Monday - March 26, 2012
The Body Worlds Vital exhibit at the S.C. State Museum has attracted thousands of visitors since its unveiling in November. The remaining time for school groups and others to see this largest exhibit ever displayed at the Museum is just a few more weeks, and you'll learn about this most informative display about the human body on our podcast. Another exhibit, this one at the U.S. Capitol, commemerates the sesquicentennial of the Civil War with many documents that have never been put on display. There's also a student guide that's discussed in this interview with Internet download information. Finally, Wofford College has recieved a $200,000, three-year grant for its students to craft curriculum projects that will include lesson plans and ready-to-use curriculum materials reflecting current research in various academic disciplines. We'll discuss this project with one of the grant's writers. Another great lineup on this week's Speaking of Schools!
