An Environmental Education Opportunity and Extending the School Day for Bus Riders
Monday - May 07, 2012
Featured this week will be a summer course for teachers in grades 3 - 8 in Environmental Education, Teaching Sustainable Forestry in Environmental Education. The course, sponsored by the S.C. Forestry Commission is free if recertification credit isn't needed but is available at a small charge. The course is offered in two parts, both during the month of June. Also, students in some Calhoun County schools have the luxury of internet access during their bus rides to and from school. The idea of wi-fi on buses available on the students' school-issued computers is explained in this segment taken from an In Our Schools SCETV/SDE production earlier this year. Another interesting Speaking of Schools podcast.
