American Education Week review, student literary competition and upcoming opportunities for teachers

Listeners to our podcasts and the daily "Speaking of Schools" on Educational radio have been kept abreast of the state and national contest, "Poetry Out Loud," by members of the SC Literary Arts Partnership. Two additional contests,"Letters About Literature" and "River of Words" have registration deadlines looming and both competitions are described on this week's episode. Also, a look back at American Education Week with the President of the National Education Association and previews of upcoming events and opportunities for teachers of financial literacy as well as elementary and middle school science.
