A Virtual School Teaching Award, Science Contests in Grades 4-6 and an Excellent Report Card

Monday - February 13, 2012

This week's podcast features Dr. Tracy Seiler, a teacher in the State's Virtual School Program who is one of three finalists for a national Virtual Teaching Award. Dr. Seiler reflects on similarities and differences in "bricks and mortar" teaching and that of the virtual classroom. You'll also learn about the South Carolina Academy of Science on-line competitions, one for elementary students in grades 4 - 6 and another for 7th and 8th graders. Too, we'll continue our celebration with school districts that attained a school report card rating of "Excellent" for the 2010-2011 school year, this week conversing with Dr. Ron Garner, Superintendent of Spartanburg School District #1. Join us for another informative podcast!
