Duncan Park
"Welcome to beautiful Duncan Park!" Ed Dickerson always announced during his stint at Duncan Park in the late 1960s. The oldest baseball stadium in South Carolina, and one of the oldest in America, Duncan Park offered a bigger place for amateur baseball teams to play and avid baseball fans to watch. But much more than that, the historic pitch brought communities together and remains the source of nostalgia for baseball fans today. The thirty-minute long program documents the rise and fall and restoration of Duncan Park, from its promising beginning in the summer of 1926 to its present state.
