Saving Willie Mae’s Scotch House

This program follows the rebuilding of Willie Mae Seaton’s Scotch House Restaurant, a renowned New Orleans culinary landmark destroyed in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Over two years volunteers from around the world worked to put Willie Mae Seaton back in her kitchen. This documentary chronicles their efforts and in them finds an analog for the small victories and daily difficulties of life in post-Katrina New Orleans. Produced by Joe York.
