Jane Yarn: Marsh Lady of the Georgia Coast
How much difference can one person make? More than you might even imagine. In her short lifetime, the South Carolina-bred and educated Jane Hurt Yarn managed to create marine sanctuaries, save thousands of miles of pristine coastal marshland, create one of the nation’s largest and most vibrant urban outdoor recreation areas, and galvanize a new generation of environmental and conservation activists. Her passion for nature took her from the wilds of the African savanna to the halls of power in our nation’s capitol. Find out how Jane Yarn’s persistent activism changed our world, and how she still affects our lives today.
