Summer Institute for South Carolina Teachers
A.C. Flora High School, Columbia
June 15 - 19, 2009

Learn to create video projects that utilize community inquiry and storytelling across the curriculum during this week-long summer institute. Design, shoot and edit a mini-documentary and acquire strategies for applying these video production skills to the classroom. Explore the 21st century skills of media literacy, critical viewing and the visual fluency.
Open to all South Carolina middle and high school teachers, media specialists and technology coaches. No previous video experience needed.
Credits and cost (click on one to register):
Institute (and 3 hours or 60 renewal credits if needed) - $125 (Word Document)
Institute and 3 hours of graduate credit through the College of Charleston - $230
(two pre-course sessions and follow-up required)
Fees will be due at the first course session.
