Ronald Erwin McNair

Inducted into the South Carolina Hall Of Fame, Ronald McNair was the second African American to go into space and was part of the STS-51L crew that died when the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded shortly after lift-off in 1986. Can't see the video? Watch on YouTube: http://youtu.be/XuMiQPELOts

The SC Hall of Fame was founded in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1973 to recognize and honor contemporary and past citizens who have made outstanding contributions to South Carolina's heritage, history and progress.
