Maj. Gen. Charles F. Bolden, Jr.

Inducted into the South Carolina Hall Of Fame, Charles Bolden, Jr. flew on four historic Space Shuttle missions in the 1980s and 90s, and became the first African American to lead NASA as NASA Administrator.

The SC Hall of Fame was founded in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1973 to recognize and honor contemporary and past citizens who have made outstanding contributions to South Carolina's heritage, history and progress.
