Financial Planners Practice Self Regulation

From time to time, we hear about unethical investment practices but rarely do we hear about the self-regulation that goes on in the investment industry. Our next guest has recently been appointed to serve on a Washingto DC-based commission to oversee the ethics of Certified Financial Planners.
Mike Switzer interviews Chris Beard, who received a degree in Financial Management from Clemson University, where he now mentors students in the University’s College of Business and Behavioral Science. He has 17 years of experience in the financial planning industry and is currently a Vice President with Gateway Wealth Strategies, a division of the Bank of Travelers Rest, SC.
