You've probably heard about or seen the pictures of the largest single rooftop solar panel installation in the Southeast recently put in place by South Carolina Electric & Gas on the new Boeing plant in North Charleston. In fact it's one of the largest in the United States generating 2.6-megawatts of renewable energy, through more than 18,000 thin-film photovoltaic solar laminates covering 10 acres of Boeing's 14-acre roof on the 787 Final Assembly building.
To find out how it all came about and how they did it, Mike Switzer interviews Bob Long, general manager of resources planning for South Carolina Electric & Gas in Columbia. http://sceg.com/en/
