Are Unpaid Interns Legal?

With summer comes vacations.  But for college students, summer means job hunting.  Many students are eager to gain workplace experience and make connections with potential employers.  And of course, businesses always welcome low-cost help.  But in today's economic environment, the American workplace has seen an increased emphasis on unpaid internships.

Mike Switzer interviews Ted Gentry, a civil litigator and employment lawyer with the Wyche law firm. in Greenville.  Ted has been at Wyche over 20 years, handling litigation in federal and state courts, and advising a variety of employers and individuals on employment law.
