Thursday - September 08, 2011 at 07:52 am

It will probably come to no surpise to most of our listeners that Antiques Roadshow is the highest rated primetime series on PBS and has been for the past sixteen years.  But you may not be aware that the Emmy-nominated show's host for the past seven years is a 1980 graduate of South Carolina's West Florence High School.  He started his television career as an assistant at Dick Clark Productions and quickly moved in front of the camera as the announcer for the popular game show “Shop Til You Drop”, followed by hosting many other successful shows until finally landing at Antiques Roadshow in 2004.

Mike Switzer interviews Mark Walberg, who will be in Florence, SC on Sep. 29th, where he will be receiving a Distinguished Graduate award from The School Foundation in Florence.
