South Carolina Channel Offers Unbeatable Music Every Week

Weeknights at 11:00 p.m., the best musicians from around the country come to the Palmetto State over ETV's South Carolina Channel

  • Monday: "Backstage Pass" Whether the style is rock, jazz, folk, country, classical, or R&B, this program highlights the most talented artists from the Great Lakes region. Upcoming artists include: Howling Diablos on Dec. 30; Best of Backstage Pass, Season Four on Jan. 6; Professors of Jazz on Jan. 13; Root Doctor on Jan. 20; and Big Willy on Jan. 27. 
  • Tuesday: "Front and Center" Utilizing state-of-the-art production techniques, this program features some of the top names in music. Upcoming artists include: Jack Johnson on Dec. 31; Train on Jan. 7; JJ Grey & Mofro on Jan. 14; Preservation Hall Jazz Band on Jan. 21; and Buddy Guy on Jan. 28.   
  • Wednesday: "Music City Roots: Live from the Loveless Café" Explore new Nashville, from folk, country and bluegrass to classic and modern rock 'n' rock, with performances from the 600-seat barn located at the historic Loveless Café. Upcoming artists include: 18 South on Jan. 1; Delta Saints on Jan 8; Dugas on Jan. 15; Delta Moon on Jan. 22; and Della Mae on Jan. 29.  
  • Thursday: "Live from the Artists Den" Each week features an extraordinary artist performing in a distinctive, exceptional venue.  Upcoming artists include: Ed Sheeran on Jan. 2; The National on Jan. 9; Imagine Dragons on Jan. 16; Norah Jones on Jan. 23; and The Wallflowers on Jan. 30.   
  • Friday: "Sun Studio Sessions" at 11:00 p.m. and "Jammin at Hippie Jack's" at 11:30 p.m. "Sun Studio Sessions" features personal interview and performances in the legendary Memphis, Tennessee studio.  "Jammin at Hippie Jack's," taped at an annual music festival in Middle Tennessee, features original singer/songwriters of Americana, bluegrass, blues, and folk music.   "Sun Studio Sessions" will be pre-empted on Jan. 3 and Jan. 10; upcoming artists for the rest of January include: Dale Watson on Jan. 17; Delta Blues Experience on Jan. 24; and The Bo-Keys on Jan. 31. Upcoming artists for "Jammin at Hippie Jack's" include: Jonell Mosser, Part One on Jan. 3 (the program is pre-empted on Jan. 10); RB Morris on Jan. 17; Jonell Mosser, Part Two on Jan. 24; and Claire Lynch on Jan. 31.    

The South Carolina Channel can be found via antenna by placed a .2 after the local ETV channel number.  Time Warner Cable carries the channel at 171.  Please visit scetv.org/TVschedule for a complete weekly list of artists.
