Columbia, SC...Next week, ETV and The State Newspaper bring the candidates for the Sixth and Second Congressional districts directly into voters' homes, through a statewide simulcast on television, radio and the Web.
First up is a conversation with Sixth Congressional District Democratic incumbent James Clyburn on Monday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. In line with ETV's longstanding debate policy, the program will become a 30-minute Q&A since GOP challenger Nancy Harrelson declined ETV's invitation to debate.
Then on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m., ETV will air the Second Congressional District debate between Republican incumbent Joe Wilson and Democratic challenger Robert Miller.
ETV's "The Big Picture" host Mark Quinn will moderate both programs, which will be produced at ETV's Columbia studio, located at 1101 George Rogers Blvd.
In addition to the live broadcasts, ETV will provide a number of ways for electronic and print media to access and record the shows, including:
- An audio bridge, allowing radio reporters to access clean audio by dialing (800) 438-5670. The phone line will be accessible 10 minutes prior to the start of each program. Because phone line availability is limited to 20 connections, stations should contact Dana McCullough at 803-463-7095 to reserve a spot before noon on the day of the broadcast. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.
