Saluda Mayor Addy Proclaims May 23rd as "ETV Day"

Columbia, SC...As ETV continues its tour of the lower piedmont region, Saluda County Mayor Frank Addy, Jr. will appear on the ETV Road Show to proclaim Wednesday, May 23 as “ETV Day” in Saluda. The Road Show will broadcast live from the Saluda County Courthouse. The public is cordially invited to attend.
The ETV Road Show brings an interesting blend of live events, including programming on television and radio, as well as educational activities aimed at spotlighting Saluda County to the rest of South Carolina and surrounding states.
ETV will be in the thoroughbred region of South Carolina from May 17-23 visiting and showcasing other communities, including those in Aiken, Edgefield, Barnwell, and McCormick counties.

Children’s Events:
Arthur, the title character from the popular TV series on ETV Kids, will be meeting and greeting his young friends at the Saluda County Library from 10 a.m. - noon. The library is located at 101 South Main Street in Saluda. Parents are encouraged to bring cameras to capture the magic.
LIVE BROADCASTS:
12 - 1 p.m. Your Day Broadcast on ETV/ETV Radio/ETV SC Channel
Features lighthearted discussions with residents and local leaders about topics of interest including economic development, the performing arts, and culinary trends. Live music from local musicians adds a festive touch to the broadcast.
3 - 4 p.m. Your Day Extra Broadcast on ETV/ETV SC Channel
This broadcast engages residents and community leaders who offer interesting and fun facts about Saluda and surrounding towns. Live music from local musicians rounds out the afternoon.
4 - 5 p.m. Xpress Broadcast on ETV/ITV/ETV SC Channel
During this interactive call-in program, Dr. Glen Walter hosts candid conversations with Saluda-area Hispanic and non-Hispanic middle and high school students about culture differences. Call-in number: 1-800-763-ETV1.
7 - 8 p.m. ETV Road Show Broadcast on ETV/ETV SC Channel
Highlights include live and taped segments that feature Saluda County history, the birthplace of the Alamo, the burgeoning trail riding business, the town of Ridge Spring, economic development, the growing Hispanic community’s contributions to the region, musical performances from local artists and more. Encore presentation airs on Sunday, May 27 at 5 p.m.
Viewers in South Carolina’s equestrian hub can tune into ETV on WEBA-TV, channel 14; WRLK-TV, channel 35 and ETV Radio on WLJK (89.1 FM). The South Carolina Channel is ETV’s digital broadcast service committed to airing events and programs of interest to those in the Palmetto State and surrounding areas. Viewers should contact their local cable company for availability of the South Carolina Channel.
