Mayor Rhoden Proclaims May 10th "ETV Day"
ETV's Lowcountry Road Show Coming Soon to Hampton

Columbia, SC…As ETV continues its scenic tour of the South Carolina Lowcountry, Mayor John Rhoden will appear on the ETV Road Show to proclaim May 10 “ETV Day” in Hampton. The live broadcasts begin at 12 p.m. from the Nell Lightsey Memorial Park. The public is cordially invited to attend.
The ETV Road Show brings an exciting mix of live events, including programming on television and radio, as well as educational activities aimed at highlighting Hampton County to the rest of South Carolina and surrounding states.
ETV will be in the Lowcountry May 4-10 visiting and showcasing other communities, including Hilton Head Island, Walterboro, Beaufort, Bluffton and Ridgeland.
LIVE BROADCASTS
12 – 1 p.m. Your Day Broadcast on ETV/ETV Radio
Features conversations with Mayor John Rhoden and sculptor Demitri Nedelcu of Universal Fine Art Conservation in Estill.
2 – 3 p.m. Your Day Extra Broadcast on ETV/ETV Radio rebroadcast 7 - 8 p.m.
This program features a discussion with Mayor Pro Tem Pete Hagood about the historic Ben Hazel School as well as a look at the Webb Wildlife Center.
4 – 5 p.m. Xpress Broadcast on ETV
This teen-oriented special, hosted by Dr. Glen Walter, provides an opportunity for young people across the state to call in and voice their opinions on "What It's Like Growing Up in a Rural Community." The call-in number for the show is 1-800-763-ETV1.
7 – 8 p.m. ETV Road Show Broadcast on ETV and ETV’s SC Channel
Highlights include live and taped segments that feature a look at the history of Hampton, Martha Anderson, one of the first female newspaper journalists in SC, unique downtown businesses, such as Vincent’s Drug Store, and more.
In the Lowcountry region, ETV is carried by WJWJ-TV, channel 16; WITV-TV, channel 7, and ETV Radio by WJWJ (89.9 FM). The South Carolina Channel is ETV’s digital broadcast service committed to airing events and programs of interest to those in the Palmetto State and surrounding areas.
