Columbia, SC… Home runs, line drives and stolen bases aren’t just for the major leagues. Little leaguers also know the art of the game. And this August, the South Carolina Channel, one of ETV’s three channels, will bring LIVE broadcasts of the showdown between the best of the best at the 2010 Dixie Youth Baseball “O” Zone World Series from Lexington, SC.

This will be the first Dixie Youth Baseball tournament to be offered nationally by ETV. The South Carolina Channel will provide coverage of the semi-final games which begin on Aug. 4, with the addition of a Dixie Youth Baseball World Series special program, hosted by former WLTX-Columbia sportscaster Bob Shields.

South Carolina Channel coverage of the semi-finals will also be streamed at www.scetv.org.

Sixteen teams of 11- and 12-year-olds from 11 different states will faceoff at the Lexington Sports Complex in Lexington, South Carolina to compete for the championship. Teams from Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia will be vying for World Series bragging rights during the 8-day tournament.

LIVE Broadcast Schedule:
