ETV Wins 2006 Emmy Award
Streak of Consecutive Wins Continues with Five Emmys in Three Years

Columbia, SC...ETV received a 2006 Regional Emmy award at this year's ceremony, which was presented by the Southeast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences on Saturday, June 17, in Atlanta.
ETV’s South Carolina Channel received the Station Excellence Award for Interactivity, which honors a television station for the production of a truly interactive program using multiple outreach methods for audience involvement. The program Making It Grow! features live phone calls, an Internet chatroom, blogs, forums, streaming video, and podcasts. Previously, Making It Grow! has garnered seven nominations and three awards from the Emmys. Making It Grow! airs on both ETV and ETV’s South Carolina Channel every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Hosted by Rowland Alston, this program is a co-production of ETV and Clemson University.
ETV has now garnered five Emmy awards in three consecutive years, including:
- Inside Spoleto 2004 – Arts/Entertainment/Cultural Affairs Program – 2005
- More Making It Grow! – Scenic Design – 2005
- For Every Person There is a Name – Educational Programming - 2004 (This documentary was produced by the College of Charleston and shown as part of ETV’s Southern Lens series.)
- Making It Grow! – Scenic Design – 2004
