ETV to Air “A Lincoln Center Special: Joshua Bell and Friends at the Penthouse”

Columbia, SC…On Tuesday, June 22 at 8 p.m., ETV airs “A Lincoln Center Special: Joshua Bell and Friends at the Penthouse.”
Renowned violinist Joshua Bell performs with friends in Lincoln Center’s intimate Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse. The following performances are included in the two-hour-long spectacular:
• Dowland’s “Come Again” with music icon Sting
• “I Loves You Porgy” with jazz trumpeter Chris Botti
• Richard Strauss’ “Morgen” with acclaimed soprano Renée Fleming
• “Left Hand Song” with singer/songwriter Regina Spektor
• “My Funny Valentine” with jazz singer Jane Monheit
• “O, Cease Thy Singing, Maiden Fair” with acclaimed baritone Nathan Gunn
• “I’ll Take Manhattan” with incomparable pianist/composer Marvin Hamlisch
• “Eleanor Rigby” with popular musician Frankie Moreno
• “Para Tí” by Grammy-nominated Cuban music sensation Tiempo Libre
• Dutch bandoneon master and tango phenomenon Carel Kraayenhof joins Bell on “Oblivion”
For more than two decades, Joshua Bell has enchanted audiences worldwide with his breathtaking playing and tone of rare beauty. A recipient of the coveted Avery Fisher Prize, and just named by Musical America as the 2010 Instrumentalist of the Year, Bell is equally at home as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestra leader.
