ETV Sports Presents Rematch of New Intrastate Rivalry

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers to Host SC State Bulldogs on Saturday, Sept. 23

Columbia, SC...On Saturday, Sept. 23, beginning at 12:30 p.m., football fans get treated to a rematch of one of last year's most exciting games when the Bulldogs of South Carolina State take on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.  In 2005, ETV was there as Coastal pulled off the upset against SC State, scoring a touchdown with only 17 seconds left on the clock to win 24-23. 

How will the Bulldogs respond this year?

Later that day, encore broadcasts of this game will air on all ETV stations at midnight and on the South Carolina Channel at noon on Sunday, Sept. 24.

The excitement continues over the coming months with the following slate of games:

• Saturday, Oct. 7 at 1:30 p.m. - Citadel vs. Wofford
• Saturday, Nov. 11 at 1:30 p.m. - Newberry vs. Presbyterian (the Bronze Derby)
• Saturday, Dec. 9 at 12:30 p.m. - North South All-Star Game

The ETV Sports Team, Emerson Phillips, Willie Jeffries and Cara Campbell, will be on hand with the play-by-play commentary and highlights of a great afternoon of football in South Carolina.
