ETV Remembers the Late Bill Pinkney with a Special Presentation, "Bill Pinkney & The Original Drifters at the South Carolina State Fair"

Columbia, SC...At 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, ETV remembers the late Bill Pinkney with a special broadcast of "Bill Pinkney & The Original Drifters at the South Carolina State Fair." The program, which originally aired on Oct. 20, 2006, features a high-energy concert performance by Pinkney and his band during last year's S.C. State Fair.
Among the songs included in the concert are:
- White Christmas - Pinkney and The Drifter's biggest hit, which was featured in the movies "Home Alone," "The Santa Claus(e)" and "Mixed Nuts"
- Stand By Me
- Under the Boardwalk
- On Broadway
- This Magic Moment
Pinkney, a South Carolina native, was also the last surviving member of The Drifters, which was formed in 1953. The funeral has been set for Monday, July 9 in Sumter, the city Pinkney called home.
