Columbia, SC… This March, Dr. Walter Edgar, host of ETV Radio’s “Walter Edgar’s Journal,” sits down with the curator of the Greenville County Museum of Art, Martha Severens, to talk about the museum’s major exhibition, A Portrait of Greenville.
The program can be heard on all ETV Radio stations on Friday, Mar. 5 at noon. An encore presentation can be heard on Sunday, Mar. 7 at 8 p.m. on ETV Radio’s NPR News formats:
- WRJA – 88.1 in Sumter
- WNSC – 88.9 in Rock Hill
- WLJK – 89.1 in Aiken
- WJWJ – 89.9 in Beaufort

The show, which opens on February 27, brings together works created over the past 25 years by national, regional, and Upstate artists who were commissioned to depict Greenville County from their individual points of view. In so doing, visitors gain a unique perspective that reflects how people see the place where they live and work, as well as how others from the outside see it.
The exhibition features works by:
- Joshua Shaw
- Thomas Stephen Powell
- Tommy Wyche
- Stephen Scott Young
- Other artists from Augusta, New York, Philadelphia, and Greenville
