ETV Provides Comprehensive Election Coverage Throughout Election Day
Coverage Culminates with LIVE Broadcast on Television, Radio and Web Beginning at 7 p.m.

Columbia, SC...On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 7, ETV will use its television, radio and Web capabilities to provide the most comprehensive statewide coverage of results for Election 2006.
THROUGHOUT THE DAY
Coverage will kick off at 7 a.m., on ETV’s Web site, www.myetv.org. Visitors to the site will find important electoral information throughout the day, as ETV continually provides updates from all corners of the state. Coverage will include:
- Latest results numbers (beginning at 7 p.m.)
- Reports on voter turn-out and unexpected trends
- Streaming video featuring interviews with voters
- Fast facts for voters including times, locations, weather conditions and more
AFTER 7 P.M.
Then at 7 p.m., ETV and the State Newspaper present at least four-hours of statewide Election Coverage, which will be simulcast on ETV’s 11 television stations and seven of its radio stations (except for ETV’s all-jazz radio format in Rock Hill). It will also be streamed on www.myetv.org.
Hosted by ETV’s news and public affairs producer Andrew Gobeil, the program will bring live reports from the campaign headquarters of gubernatorial candidates Mark Sanford and Tommy Moore, as well as updates from ETV’s regional stations in Beaufort, Rock Hill and Spartanburg. In between announcing the latest election results, Gobeil and ETV co-host Beryl Dakers will be speaking with special guests, including:
- Sen. John Courson (R) – Richland
- Katon Dawson, Chairman of the SC Republican Party
- Joe Erwin, Chairman of the SC Democratic Party
- Brad Warthen, Vice President and Editorial Page Editor of The State Newspaper
- Andy Brack, Publisher of the SC Statehouse Report
- Dr. Jon Smith, Associate Professor of Political Science at Presbyterian College

DAY AFTER ELECTION
On Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 9-10 a.m., ETV Radio presents The Big Picture on the Radio. Gobeil will again serve as host and will be joined by a panel of guests to discuss the results from the election and their implications going forward.
ETV Radio listeners can join in the conversation by e-mailing questions and comments to election@scetv.org, either before or during the show. Gobeil and his guests will address as many of the e-mails as possible during the broadcast. For those who would like to see and hear the discussion, streaming video of the program can be viewed by logging onto ETV’s Web site, www.myetv.org.
The Big Picture on the Radio can be heard on ETV Radio’s four news formats: 88.1-WRJ Sumter; 89.1-WLJK Aiken; 89.9-WJWJ Beaufort; and 90.1-WHMC Conway.
