ETV Presents Two Primary Debates Featuring the Republican and Democratic Gubernatorial Candidates

Columbia, SC... During the first week of May, ETV brings the candidates for South Carolina's next governor directly into voters' homes through a statewide simulcast on television and the Web.
First up, on Sunday, May 2 at 7 p.m., is the Democratic Gubernatorial Primary Debate with the following candidates:
- SC Sen. Robert Ford of Charleston
- SC Superintendent of Education Jim Rex
- SC Sen. Vincent Sheheen of Camden
Then on Monday, May 3 at 7 p.m., ETV will air the Republican Gubernatorial Primary Debate with the following candidates:
- US Rep. Gresham Barrett – R-SC
- SC Lt. Governor Andre Bauer
- SC Rep. Nikki Haley of Lexington
- SC Attorney General Henry McMaster
ETV's "The Big Picture" host, Mark Quinn will moderate both LIVE broadcasts, which will be produced at ETV's Columbia studio, located at 1101 George Rogers Blvd. They can also be streamed over the Internet from ETV's website, www.scetv.org/election.
Additionally, ETV will provide a number of ways for electronic and print media to access and record the shows, including:

IN PERSON:
- Reporters are invited to come to the studio to watch the debate and interview the candidates following the debate. Interviews are granted at each candidate’s discretion.
- All media should plan to arrive at ETV's at least a half-hour before each program.
- Wi-fi hot spots will be available for print media who would like to file stories from their laptops.
- Reporters will be allowed to sit inside the studio during the live broadcasts. Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis and news agencies must contact Rob Schaller at (803) 446-0753 to reserve a studio seat by noon on the day of each show.
- A mult-box will be available for electronic media to plug into on-site.
ETV requests that news media adhere to the following guidelines:
- Stations must credit ETV for the footage used in their newscasts or their websites.
- Print and electronic reporters who have reserved a seat must remain in the studio for the duration of each broadcast.
- Only ETV's television cameras will be allowed in the studio during the actual broadcast.
