As part of ETV's Fall Pledge lineup, contemporary jazz saxophonist Dave Koz will be in the ETV studios for the broadcast premiere of Dave Koz At the Movies. This exquisite exploration of the world of movie themes is a tribute to classical Hollywood musical moments. The program airs statewide Saturday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m.
Throughout this two-hour-long special broadcast, Koz chats with viewers at home about this special project and plays snippets from his favorite cinema classics live from ETV studios.
From Vanessa Williams’ dreamy rendition of “The Way We Were” to Koz’s soulful version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” this television event splendidly captures the lush, romantic, inspired collection of timeless movie favorites. Also featured in the documentary is commentary from Koz along with footage from performances by vocalists including Anita Baker, Johnny Mathis, Barry Manilow, jazz guitarist Norman Brown, trumpeter/composer Chris Botti, and acoustic guitarist Peter White.
