ETV Offers New and Classic Programs to Viewers during Television Membership Campaign

South Carolina ETV will air the broadcast premiere of several new shows, as well as some classic programs from years past, during a Membership Campaign on November 24 – December 9

The programming will offer a range in entertainment and education, from Doo-wop and Christmas musical performances to expert advice on improving mental and physical health.   Highlights include but are not limited to:

My Music: Motown: Big Hits and More: This program of original Motown classics from 1958 to 1968 features many first-time extended stereo mixes of Motown’s biggest hits, B-sides, album cuts and radio classics from the Temptations, the Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, the Supremes, the Miracles, Martha & the Vandellas and more. November 24, 8 p.m. on ETV.

Gullah Kinfolk Wish: Freedom Comin’: Narrated by Anita Singleton-Prather as the beloved "Aunt Pearlie-Sue,” this holiday musical features Gullah songs and storytelling that recount the African-American historical experience. November 25, 3:30 p.m. on the South Carolina Channel.

Downton Abbey Revisited: A captivating special that includes the great moments from Downton Abbey’s first two seasons, along with cast interviews, rare behind-the-scenes footage, and a sneak peek at what’s in store for the Crawleys as they enter the Roaring Twenties.  November 25, 8 p.m. on ETV.

Boundless Potential with Mark Walton: What should the generation entering their late 40s, 50s and 60s do with the second half of their lives? Peabody Award-winning former CNN senior correspondent and anchor Mark Walton provides practical advice, clear direction and real-world inspiration, as well as the latest breakthroughs in brain science, psychology, human performance, creativity and happiness. November 27 at 12:00 p.m. on ETV World.

Blenko: Behind-the-Scenes Live Event:  Blenko hand-blown glass is famous for the imaginative designs, skilled craftsmanship, and beautiful colors.  On December 1, 7:30 p.m. on ETV, viewers can learn about the history and production behind Blenko glass.

ETV and ETV Radio hold three television membership campaigns and two radio membership campaigns annually.  These campaigns help raise the necessary funding for purchasing and producing programs on ETV and ETV Radio.  Viewers can learn more about this upcoming television campaign and make a pledge of support by calling 1-800-256-8535 or going online to www.scetv.org.
