For Immediate Release
September 12, 2008

Columbia, SC...The High Kings, the renowned Irish vocalists who have re-energized the Irish ballad genre, are touring the U.S. for the first time, and are coming to the North Charleston Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m.

Fans of the Celtic quartet will not want to miss this opportunity to see them during their one stop in South Carolina, and can receive exclusive tickets for the best seats in the house by calling ETV at 1-800-256-8535 or visiting www.myetv.org.

With help from highly acclaimed musical director David Downes, who served in the same capacity for Celtic Woman, The High Kings bring intricate harmonies and driving rhythms to their repertoire, giving them a freshness and sparkle that is modern and exciting, without ever sacrificing the traditional melodies and lyrics. The songs themselves reflect a wide range of moods, the rousing “Rocky Road To Dublin,” the haunting strains of “The Parting Glass,” the irresistible “The Wild Rover” and the stunning “Fields of Glory.”
