ETV Examines the Escalating Identity Theft Crisis

Columbia, SC…Identity theft is a serious crime and a growing problem that affects millions of people each year. Recognizing that fact, ETV will rebroadcast ETV Forum: Identity Theft on Wednesday, Dec. 27 at 7 p.m.
The Federal Trade Commission estimates that as many as nine million Americans have their identities stolen each year. In South Carolina alone the number of reported cases topped 2000 in 2005. In light of these staggering statistics, host Beryl Dakers talks with legislators and federal and state agency representatives about the identity theft crisis and its effects on South Carolina.
