South Carolina ETV Presents Slate of Debates
on Television and Radio for Statewide
and Congressional Offices Beginning October 4

Columbia, SC… Beginning Monday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m., ETV presents the first in a series of debates for South Carolina's statewide and Congressional offices. The debates will be moderated by ETV's "The Big Picture" host Mark Quinn and will be broadcast statewide. All of the debates will also be available for streaming over at ETV's Election Central website: www.scetv.org/election.
Please find below the list of debates that have been confirmed and will air according to the following schedule:

Monday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. - Superintendent of Education:
Democrat Frank Holleman and Republican Mick Zais will take part in this LIVE debate that is part of the ETV Election Central series of debates. Their first debate, broadcast on ETV Radio on Monday, Sept. 20, is archived at ETV's Election Central website, www.scetv.org/election.

Sunday, Oct. 10 at 1 p.m. – US Congressional District 3:
GOP Jeff Duncan and Democrat Jane Dyer will face off in this debate that will be PRE-RECORDED on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 11 a.m. It is part of the ETV Election Central series of debates.
- Sunday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. – US Congressional District 4:
Democrat Paul Corden and Republican Trey Gowdy will face off in this debate that will be PRE-RECORDED on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. It is part of the ETV Election Central series of debates.

Sunday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. – US Congressional District 5:
Democratic incumbent John Spratt and Republican challenger Mick Mulvaney will face off in this debate that will be PRE-RECORDED on Friday, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. It is part of the ETV Election Central series of debates.

Monday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. - Lt. Governor:
Republican Ken Ard and Democrat Ashley Cooper will take part in this LIVE debate that is part of the ETV Election Central series of debates.

Sunday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. – US Congressional District 2:
Republican incumbent Joe Wilson and Democratic challenger Rob Miller will take part in this LIVE debate that is part of the ETV Election Central series of debates.

Monday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. - Governor:
Republican Nikki Haley and Democrat Vincent Sheheen will take part in this LIVE debate that is part of the ETV Election Central series of debates.
Should only one candidate appear for his or her respective debate, the debate will be cancelled.
Each debate will be held at ETV's Columbia studios, located at 1041 George Rogers Blvd. with the exception of those for Attorney General and Comptroller General, which will be recorded at the ETV Radio studios, located at 1101 George Rogers Blvd.

ETV requests that news media adhere to the following guidelines:
- Stations must credit ETV for the footage used in their newscasts or their websites
- Reporters are invited to come to the studio for interviews with the candidates following the debate. Interviews are granted at each candidate’s discretion
- All media need to arrive at ETV's studio at least a half-hour before each debate
- Reporters will be allowed to sit inside the ETV studio during the debate. Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis and seats must be reserved by noon on the day of the debate by calling Rob Schaller at (803) 737-6556
- Print and electronic reporters who have reserved a seat must remain in the studio for the duration of each debate
- Internet connections will be available for print media who would like to file stories from their laptops.
- Only ETV's television cameras will be allowed in the studio during the actual broadcast
- The Associated Press will serve as pool photographer for the Superintendent of Education, Fifth Congressional District, Second Congressional District and the Gubernatorial debate
