ETV and The State Newspaper Partner to Bring Coverage of the
U.S. Senatorial Debate

On Saturday, Oct. 11, ETV and The State Newspaper bring LIVE statewide coverage of the U.S. Senatorial debate. The hour-long exchange between Republican incumbent Lindsey Graham and Democratic challenger Bob Conley, will air statewide at 8 p.m. from the ETV studios in Columbia.

Moderated by ETV's "The Big Picture" host Mark Quinn, the program will be broadcast on all 11 ETV stations, eight ETV Radio stations and will also be streamed over the Internet at www.myetv.org.

In addition to the live broadcast, ETV will provide a number of ways for electronic and print media to access and record the debate, including:

    An audio bridge, allowing radio reporters to access clean audio of the debate by dialing (800) 438-5670. The phone line will be accessible 10 minutes prior to the start of each program. Because phone line availability is limited to 20 connections, stations should contact Dana McCullough at 803-463-7095 to reserve a spot before noon on Friday, Oct. 10. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.
    A mult-box set-up at the ETV studiosfor any electronic media that would like to capture the feed and also be on-hand after the debate for interviews. Because plug-in capacity is limited to 12 connections, stations should contact Dana McCullough at (803)-463-7095 before noon on Friday, Oct. 10 to reserve a space. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    A WiFi Hot Spot will be available for print media who would like to file stories from their laptops.

ETV requests that news media adhere to the following guidelines:

    Stations credit ETV for the footage used in their newscasts or their Web sites.
    Reporters will be allowed to sit inside the ETV studio during the live broadcast. Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis and news agencies must contact Dana McCullough at (803) 737-3212 to reserve a studio seat by noon on Friday, Oct. 10.
    Print and electronic reporters who have reserved a seat must remain in the studio for the duration of each broadcast.
    Only ETV's television cameras will be allowed in the studio during the actual broadcast.
    A pool photographer will be announced prior to the broadcast.
    Reporters are invited to come to the studio for interviews with the candidates following the debate. Interviews are granted at each candidate’s discretion.
