ETV Adds Facebook Chat to Annual "Finding Money for College" Broadcast

Columbia, SC… With tuition rates continuing to rise, ETV and the SC Department of Education’s eMedia team are once again helping families across the state find ways to pay for higher education.
“Finding Money for College,” the annual two-hour LIVE broadcast, airs Sunday, Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. on ETV. It will be streamed at www.scetv.org/americangraduate, and for the first time, can also be streamed on Facebook.
The program is updated each year to stay current with the latest information, and gives high school senior--and their parents--advice on how to find scholarships, grants and loans. It features a panel of financial aid experts from SC colleges and universities, SC Higher Education Tuition Grants Commission, and the SC Commission on Higher Education who help navigate this often-complex path.

In addition to providing key information and a forum for questions to be answered, this year’s program visits Charleston’s Wando High School for a special segment on high school guidance services that can help students find financial aid for college. Wando High School students also give their peers advice about what can help them in the process.
