Carolina Business Review tapes Education Summit at ETV

Carolina Business Review recently traveled to ETV's William E. Murray Studio to tape an Education Summit between business leaders and educators.

During the Education Summit, panelists, moderator and audience had a lively and candid discussion on the successes and challenges facing South Carolina's K-12 schools.  Particular attention was given to the topics of student achievement, teacher performance, the role of the business community in education, the use of technology in education, and education reform.   

The Education Summit's panelists include: S.C. Superintendent of Education Dr. Mick Zais, Michael Brenan of BB&T, Dr. Rainey Knight of Darlington Schools, Rep. Gilda Cobb-Hunter, and Trip DuBard of S.C. Future Minds.   

Moderated by Chris William, Carolina Business Review is a weekly program broadcast across the Carolinians that features top business executives, economists, government officials, and public-policy experts.  

Carolina Business Review: Education Summit premieres at a special time April 4 at 8:00 p.m. on ETV, with repeat broadcasts April 8 at 3:00 p.m. on ETV World and April 10 at 8:00 p.m. on the South Carolina Channel.

The summit was sponsored in part by: BB&T, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, The Duke Endowment, Parker Poe, and SCRA.
