Dear Viewers and Listeners:
The fall season launches on SCETV with programs ranging from bluegrass to ballet, and folk music to football.
In October, ETV ushers in three brand-new series: The PBS Arts Fall Festival with national and local content, Southern Conference Football, and a brand-new Ken Burns series, Prohibition.
The Scene will be your passport to the Fall Arts Festival performances, featuring artists from nine different communities around the nation. The series concludes with Andrea Bocelli Live in Central Park. On the local front, ETV will showcase several video segments from around the state. The content flowing from the Fall Arts Festival will also be available for innovative classroom uses.
SoCon Football comes to ETV’s South Carolina Channel starting October 1. The game of the week kicks off on Saturdays at 3 p.m. ETV joins our neighboring state networks, UNC-TV and Georgia Public Broadcasting, to bring viewers across the region these exciting games. The games can be viewed online at scetv.org/etvsports.
Prohibition is a three-part film series by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick that tells the story of the Eighteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and how it helped define a culture during its time. ETV’s slate of local programs includes Southern Lens’ programs, The Last One and The Dark Corner, plus Carolina Stories’ G-man: the Rise and Fall of Melvin Purvis.
A rich diversity of history, culture and sports highlights our schedule this fall. We welcome you to join us on our state’s largest stage for a front-row seat!
