Dear Viewers and Listeners:

You may have noticed that our premiere gardening series Making It Grow now comes to you with a modern, updated set. The “country store” has been transformed into a set that more closely resembles a home, to appeal not only to viewers with a rural lifestyle but also the urban horticulturist. A reflection of host Amanda McNulty’s lively personality, the set was spearheaded by McNulty herself with help from design associates at the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts as well as funding from the S.C. Department of Agriculture and the ETV Endowment.

We are also proud to announce that Making It Grow has recently won a Telly Award in the Cultural Category for its ArtFields segment. The Telly is one of the most sought-after awards in the industry, and we congratulate Sean Flynn, Tommy Burgess, Kevin Jordan, Amanda McNulty and Ed Goodwin for their fine work on this program.

April 30 marks the 40th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War. ETV observes this unsettling period in our history with programs that shed light on that confusing time. Dick Cavett’s Vietnam examines the war and its impact on America through interviews conducted by the iconic host. American Experience presents two specials: Last Days in Vietnam looks at the final chaotic days of the war; and My Lai examines the My Lai atrocities and cover-up. The hour-long special Draft looks at this controversial issue and how it defines a nation.

ETV Radio is holding its Spring Pledge Drive this month, beginning April 14.

If you didn’t get a chance to show your support in February, now’s the time… just give us a call this month!
