As we prepare to celebrate Independence Day on July 4th, ETV is proud to be a part of the celebration with the broadcast of A Capitol Fourth at 8 p.m. Tom Bergeron takes the helm of this star-spangled event, broadcast live from the West Lawn of the White House. Immediately preceding the broadcast is the dazzling local production Carolina Celebration of Liberty, performed by the First Baptist Church of Columbia.
This month we are also pleased to offer two local patriotic specials. On July 2nd at 7:30 p.m., Man and Moment: T. Morratt Burriss and the Crossing is an in-depth conversation with this amazing S.C. WWII veteran, and his role in one of the largest airborne invasions in history. Following at 8 p.m., America’s Armed Forces: Time for a Checkup welcomes CNN’s John King and a panel of experts who examine the impact of health-related issues on our nation’s military preparedness.
As we pay tribute to our nation this month, ETV is proud to continue to document our state’s compelling contributions to our country’s past, present and future.
