Experimental Archaeology

Experimental archaeology is one way to test hypotheses on how artifacts and tools were constructed during the era an object was created. Archaeologist Sean Taylor demonstrates a variety of materials and techniques that might have been employed to create tools such as cutting instruments and projectile points found at the Kolb Site. The effectiveness of the technique and the tools produced in the process of experimental technology speak to the ingenuity of Kolb’s earliest inhabitants.
