Autumnal Equinox
Autumnal Equinox falls on Sept. 22, 2012. It's the day that there is an equal division between daylight and darkness. Days have been getting shorter for quite a while and now there will be more darkness. Plants and animals are feeling the urgency, fruit is being formed, butterflies are living the last little part of their life and insects, in general, are ending their lives now. Other animals are trying to find a place to spend cold weather.
