ETV supports education, promotes transparency, partners with public safety, connects citizens, and improves the quality of life and job readiness for the state. ETV Community and State Partners

USC Upstate RAD Program
Since 1985, ETV Upstate has operated its community station from the Media Building on the USC Upstate campus. The station has produced educational programming for ETV’s network across South Carolina and collaborated with the university on a number of projects, including satellite distance learning; a weekly community affairs show, ETV Upstate; employees serving as adjunct professors; and internships for students. Another important collaboration deals with the safety of students on and around the USC Upstate community. One of these initiatives is helping to teach young women to protect themselves and think about safety in any environment.

South Carolina Future Minds
South Carolina Future Minds is a statewide, non-profit, 501(c)3 that organizes private support for the state’s 700,000 public school students. The organization advocates for public education in S.C., and connects public and private sectors in promoting innovation for excellence and support of teachers, in preparing students to thrive in a global community. ETV partners with S.C. Future Minds to produce the annual S.C. Teacher of the Year Celebration, during which all district teachers of the year are honored, and one is named the state Teacher of the Year.
ETV has entered into an exciting partnership with the South Carolina Hall of Fame in Myrtle Beach to produce “mini-documentaries” about each of its inductees—contemporary and past citizens who have made outstanding contributions to South Carolina’s heritage, history, and progress. The documentaries will be made available at the South Carolina Hall of Fame Web site and as part of their exhibit, located at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Many will be combined or expanded into full-length Carolina Stories programs for broadcast statewide on ETV.
