Nutrition 101: Nutrition Basics for K-12 Health Education

Whether you need a refresher in nutrition basics or have a limited background in nutrition education, these online modules and resources will provide an interactive review of carbohydrates, protein, fats, vitamins, and minerals as well as current recommendations and guidelines for proper nutrition – great information that can be used in your health education classes and for yourself!

As an extra incentive to complete the course, SC Healthy Schools will provide a copy of Comprehensive School Health Education: Totally Awesome Strategies for Teaching Health, 7th edition (Meeks, Heit, and Page) to the first 150 K-12 classroom teachers that complete the modules, post-test and evaluation.
