Colonial Williamsburg Electronic Field Trips (CWEFT) Women of the Revolution—December 12, 1:00 PM
Colonial Williamsburg Electronic Field Trips support American history education for students in grades 4-8. ALL S.C. schools may view the electronic field trip programs on ETV’s South Carolina Channel (SCC).
The third program in the CWEFT series, entitled Women of the Revolution, airs December 12 at 1:00 pm. This program allows students to explore the bravery, loyalty and sacrifice of Deborah Sampson, Mary Perth, Martha Washington, and other women in this era as we look at their individual stories.
Using 21st century technology to enrich the teaching of social studies and dramatizations with re-enactors to play the roles of historical figures, CWEFT programs provide a compelling learning experience that is correlated to National Standards for Social Studies. Plan to view other programs in the series January 16, February 13, March 13, and April 10, all at 1:00 pm on SCC.
