Colonial Williamsburg Electronic Field Trips: When Freedom Came—Feb. 16 at 1:00 p.m. on ETV

Students can discover how enslaved Americans made choices every day during the Civil War that helped bring about their freedom.
The CWEFT programs use 21st century technology to enrich the teaching of history and social studies, making the subjects exciting and relevant to today’s classrooms. Mission US Transforms the Way Middle School Students Learn U.S. History

Mission US is a multimedia project that immerses players in U.S. history content through free interactive games.
Mission 1: For Crown or Colony? puts players in the shoes of Nat Wheeler, a printer’s apprentice in 1770 Boston. They encounter both Patriots and Loyalists, and when rising tensions result in the Boston Massacre, they must choose where their loyalties lie.

ETV offers workshops on all ETV resources: Streamline, Knowitall, PBS Learning Media, OnePlaceSC and ways to integrate these resources. We offer sessions on Digital Storytelling, Movie Maker, Using Video Cameras, Conducting School News Programs, Webtools for Teachers and more. We also customize training to fit your specific needs.

Imtiaz Haque: Executive Director, Carroll A. Campbell Graduate Engineering Center

Dr. Imtiaz Haque is Executive Director of the Carroll A. Campbell Graduate Engineering Center and Founding Chair of the Department of Automotive Engineering at Clemson University. He is past chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. His teaching and research interests lie in the general areas of dynamics, vibrations, mechanisms and machines, and manufacturing process simulation. He has been involved with the design, modeling, and simulation of mechanical systems including vehicles and transmissions since 1975.
