Mentoring Our Youth
It has been estimated that an astounding 17.6 million young people live in situations that place them at risk of not living up to their potential. (That is nearly half the population of young people between 10 and 18 years of age.) Therefore, without immediate intervention by caring adults, they could make choices that not only undermine their future, but ultimately, the economic and social well-being of our nation. Connections will highlight mentors and their mentoring programs that prove to be a powerful tool for helping young people fulfill their potential and bring new hope to their lives.
