Carolina Stories

The Turtle Ladies of Charleston County

Tells the story of the dedicated team of women (and a few men) who are making a positive impact on the endangered sea turtle population along the South Carolina coast. From the joyous release of rehabilitated turtles, to the heartwrenching deaths of those that are too sick to survive, this program provides a better understanding of the close bond between humans and the natural world. Narrated by author and turtle lady Mary Alice Monroe. Produced, directed and written by Lynn Cornfoot and edited by Elaine Cooper. Track turtles at seaturtle.org and visit the SC Aquarium Sea Turtle Rescue Program website.
