Down the Ballot
The program takes a look at the political process as it played out in the 2006 campaign for South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture. This relatively minor, “down ballot” office, deals with a subject near and dear to all of us - the food we eat. Timely issues surrounding food, farming and politics emerge through the intertwined stories of the two men competing for the office of Agriculture Commissioner, neither of whom has run for office before.
